Job description: POSITION DESCRIPTION Department Technician Department of Community Health Medicaid Payments Division Provider Enrollment Unit Title: Provider Enrollment Tech $18.17 - $24.95 per hour Employee Name: Supervisor: Jill VanDouser Provider Enrollment Department Purpose: This position provides administrative support to the Medicaid Provider Enrollment Unit as it relates to all enrollment types. Duties and Responsibilities: * Reviews provider applications and modifications regarding any Medicaid Provider Enrollment * Assists providers with questions regarding all enrollment types * Follow up on provider questions and complaints. * Pull and review reports as it relates to all enrollment types * Review and resolve pending enrollment issues using specific written instructions. General clerical duties as needed. Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Possession of a high school diploma or a GED Certificate. Must have prior experience in navigating the CHAMPS system. Important Skills and Characteristics: * Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to communicate with others, both verbally and in writing. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: General office setting. Responsibility for the Work of Others: No assigned responsibility. Impact on Projects, Services, and Operations: This position is vital in maintaining the current level of service to the provider community serving the Medicaid population.
