Job description: Title: Project Associate – Center for Social Enterprise $16.83 - $19.23 Employee Name: TBD Supervisor: Alison Benoit, Policy Manager Purpose: The Project Associate participates in all aspects of a project, including data analysis and interpretation, facilitation, and reporting and dissemination for projects. These projects involve public health-related assessments, policy interpretation, and research. The Project Associate may work independently or on a team assigned to a project. Duties and Responsibilities: * Participates in preparing project-related technical reports, study briefs, manuscripts, presentations, trainings, and other written materials as needed. * Assists in the development, design, and creation of products that support community partners and multi-disciplinary teams. * Independently plans and leads presentations and facilitation activities, as appropriate. * Remains current on literature in areas that are relevant to the program and current projects. * Conducts and writes literature reviews to inform proposals. * Creates and nurtures relationships with partners and identifies opportunities for collaboration on new projects. * Assists in development and implementation of project work plans, preparation of IRB application materials, timelines, and reports as needed. * Presents project results and participates in project meetings as needed. * Maintain positive, strong, credible, professional interpersonal relationships with all parties of MPHI projects, and represents the best interest of MPHI at all times. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or relevant social science discipline. Experience: 1-2 years of experience preferred technical report writing, project coordination, research, and information dissemination. Important Skills and Characteristics: * Strong organizational and problem solving skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to overlapping deadlines. * Ability to work independently, analyze project needs, and monitor progress toward completion of tasks. * Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communications skills; * Interest in learning and mastering new information and skills; ability to function as a productive member of a team * Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment. * Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and some experience in Microsoft Project required Work Environment and Physical Requirements: The position may require moderate physical effort including working with a PC at least 75% of the time. Standard office environment. Requires valid vehicle operator’s license and some travel. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: None. IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS The Project Associate directly impacts the quality of products, and the performance of project teams to which they are assigned. Competent performance in this position has a substantial impact on the integrity and professional reputation of MPHI, including meeting the needs of MPHI clients in a timely manner, maintaining professional relationships, and enhancing the potential of future contracts with clients.
