Position Summary
Evoqua Water Technologies LLCs Holland, MI, office seeks a Senior Field Service Technician to perform installation, startups, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on Evoquas proprietary filtration equipment at customer sites.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks
Duties include: (i) analyzing filtration systems and technical solutions for the systems; (ii) providing technical assistance and support to company engineers and equipment end users in the quick and efficient startup of newly installed equipment; (iii) transferring specialized knowledge of the Vortisand filtration system and sand filter process, unit strip down and reassembly and simulated faults; (iv) training site personnel in the operation and maintenance and repair of the equipment; (v) changing the PLC program on the jobsite; (vi) installing the pneumatic and hydraulic electrical system; (vii) identifying and repairing potential problems of filtration systems; (viii) reading sketches of pneumatiques, mechanics, electrics, and electronics; and (ix) maintaining proprietary equipment, making daily reports, and changing media for the systems. The work will be with industrial or municipal, water and wastewater facilities that may be under construction or already existing.
Position Requirements
Must have a bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Electrical Engineering or Information Systems Management or a related field plus seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
Must also have experience and working knowledge of: (i) Water Filtration Systems; (ii) filter presses; (iii) Vortisand filters; (iv) how to troubleshoot instrumentation & use PLC programs and ladder logic as required on PLCs: Allen Bradley, Siemens and Omron; (v) how to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulics & pneumatic systems; (vi) process chemistry used in water treatment; (vii) reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, installation and/or civil drawings, and discussing specifics, notes and changes with varied disciplines; and (viii) Automated Electro-mechanical Systems.
Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally (primarily Canada) to various employers, clients, and other locations up to 90%.
Must be able to lift 50lb.-media bags daily.
Work may exceed eight hours per day with weekend work expected.
