The Regional Sales Manager leads a team of sales professionals working to improve the lives of patients, their caregivers, and families. We are searching for leaders who can motivate and inspire a team, build relationships with internal colleagues and external business partners, and effectively develop their subordinates while consistently exceeding their business goals. The Regional Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 sales representatives. Preferred candidates will live within reasonable driving distance to a major airport.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach and develop selling skills, leadership potential, and business acumen
Recruit and retain top talent by creating an environment of learning and growth for long term success and development
Conduct regular field rides with all direct reports and prepare/maintain a Field Coaching report identifying strengths, areas of development, business goals and action items
Provide consistent and accurate performance expectations and feedback to representatives
Comply with all regulations and Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications/Experience:
4 year Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from an accredited University required (Advanced Degree a plus)
Minimum 7 years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry required
Minimum 4 years of Pharmaceutical Management experience, managing a team of successful representatives/specialists preferred
Minimum 1 year experience selling to pediatricians preferred
Minimum 1 year experience with ADHD products preferred
Prior experience successfully hiring, coaching and managing a team consisting of District, Regional or National sales award recipients required
Excellent written and oral communication skills (good listener) required
Demonstrated success developing and mentoring sales representatives required
Ability to travel 80% of each week required
