The Manufacturing Reagent Support Group is currently seeking a candidate for a Chemist in a fast-paced ISO/GMP team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to take an analytical, logical approach to determine the root cause of problems and devise possible solutions utilizing the scientific method. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing buffers, solutions, and reagents according to Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP’s) and Work Orders, while maintaining an accurate inventory of chemicals and supplies.
Responsibilities also include maintaining the general cleanliness and organization in area of physical responsibility, responding appropriately and quickly to internal customers, and assisting in troubleshooting and validation procedures.
Education and/or Experience: Minimum of BS degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biological Science required. Previous laboratory and manufacturing experience required. Knowledge and understanding of cGMPs and ISO is highly desirable. Analytical methods including HPLC/FPLC, gel electrophoresis, chromatography, spectrophotmetry, etc.desired. Protein purification and characterization, as well as protein conjugation is desirable.
