Each Contract Chauffeur is required by Whirlpool Corporation to be available for work for a minimum of Five days per calendar month. Whirlpool does not guarantee that the chauffeur will work the required minimum of five days, but they also have opportunity to work more then that. We have been seeing people working 30-40 hours a week lately.
Of the Five required minimum calendar days two of them will be a Friday or Sunday. Whirlpool does not guarantee that the chauffeur will be scheduled for work on those days.
If the chauffeur does not make himself/herself available for the minimum number of Five days per calendar month their employment with Whirlpool Corporation can be terminated, unless there is a pre-approved extended absence due to a medical condition or other special circumstances.
Contract Chauffeurs must have the ability to respond to a 2 hour call in to report to work.
