Director, Security Policy, Communications and Systems
Summary
Oracle is seeking a Director to lead Global Information Security s Security Policy, Communications and Systems team, reporting to Senior Director, Corporate Policy and Programs. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communications skills, adept in the management of information security policy, corporate wide communications and the oversight of specialized systems development.
Responsibilities
The Director, Security Policy, Communications and Systems will report to the Senior Director EMEA & JAPAC.
Day-to-day management of the Security Policy, Communications and Systems team.
Overall responsibility for the Oracle Security Policy Program.
Overall responsibility for the GIS Information Security Manager (ISM) Program.
Overall responsibility for the GIS Education Program.
Overall responsibility for the GIS Systems Program.
Overall responsibility for the GIS Operations Management.
The successful candidate will need to work closely and effectively with colleagues in GIS and all the company s major organizational elements to facilitate the comprehensive implementation of Oracle Information Security related policies, directives and requirements.
The successful candidate will need to act as an evangelist for Information Security across all lines of business and use all the channels available to promote, educate and embed good security practice across the company.
Policy
Active oversight of policy lifecycle from the creation of new policies as the need arises through development, review, roll-out, updating and retirement.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate and readily available resource of current and archived Oracle Security Policies.
Accountable for maintaining accurate records of policy versions for audit purposes.
Developing a team with subject matter expertise in all security frameworks in use at Oracle.
Ensuring that Oracle security policy recognizes all activities of the business and the applicable security frameworks and standards.
Act as the point of contact for Oracle lines of business regarding Oracle security policy.
Responsible for attending line of business meetings as required to provide detailed information regarding Oracle s security framework and information security policies usually as a requirement of internal and 3rd party audit.
Assisting P&S Legal and other teams as required with development of resources with an information security impact.
ISM & Education Program
Demonstrate a passion for continuous engagement with Oracle staff.
Ensure an accurate and current register of all ISMs is maintained and available online.
Ensure the ISM program is developed and continually improved maintaining a program outline and plan for future activities so it remains engaging, relevant and up to date.
Ensure materials necessary for an effective Education program are created and shared in a complete and timely manner.
Identify need for new resources, determining best channel/format, providing creative framework for marketing, advising teams on strategy, tactics and corporate branding.
Coaching and training other GIS staff regarding corporate branding, creative and marketing skills, including choice of media and channel to maximize engagement.
Encourage other lines of business to create security awareness materials and take an active part in reviewing any content produced by other lines of business to ensure it meets corporate standards.
Develop new ways of promoting security awareness for example: Security Roadshows, Workshops, Forums, and Checklists, Good Practice Guides, Guidelines, FAQs, and other content.
Explore and develop the use of 3rd party learning modules and opportunities to develop security skills, awareness and qualifications.
Systems
Manage and direct the GIS Systems team on a day to day basis.
Manage the lifecycle of GIS tools and systems from proposal to retirement.
Ensure all required review and approvals are obtained by the GIS Systems team.
Ensure tools and systems are delivered with complete documentation and training.
Ensure the correct management of existing systems with respect to operation, maintenance, addition of new features and required updates/replacement.
Oversee the evolution of tools and systems to remain current and effective e.g. Oracle Cloud adoption.
Operations Management
Ensure the smooth operations of GIS on a day to day basis
Responsibility for the design and management of the GIS website.
Respond to Finance where needed to ensure smooth running of GIS.
Compile and produce information security-related communications, including companywide emails and In The Know articles.
Ensure all GIS content for external consumption conforms to company branding.
Ensure GIS documents are complete and up to date and complete by performing regular assessments of necessary changes and updates.
Assist the Head of GIS with design and formatting of presentations.
Ensure that GIS uses the latest corporate document and presentation templates and is in line with corporate standards.
Qualifications
Degree level qualification or commensurate industry experience.
Proven interpersonal and leadership skills.
Proven program or project management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of and familiarity with Oracle s ways of working.
Enthusiasm for involvement in new projects and initiatives.
Ability to effectively manage multiple strategic initiatives concurrently.
Ability and passion to create a process oriented team focused on delivering excellent policy, education, program and systems.
