Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Manager Patient Care, or Administrative Supervisor. Carries out routine patient care assignments on assigned shift; works and performs in controlled patient care situations and performs established nursing care procedures for individuals or groups of patients as delegated by Supervisory Personnel.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION * Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: (All experience noted must be as an LPN) * ACU: One year patient care experience within the past 3 years. * Medical/Surgical: Graduate Practical Nurses are eligible. Must become licensed within 90 Days of employment. * SCU: Two years medical/surgical experience. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: * ACU: o Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. o BLS Certified and Maintain Certification * Medical/Surgical: o Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. o BLS Certified and Maintain Certification o Must successfully complete the BCA course within 6 months of hire or transfer and maintain. * SCU: o Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. o BLS Certified and Maintain Certification o Must successfully complete the BCA course within 6 months of hire or transfer and maintain.
