Description
Job Summary:
Supports and leads merger, acquisition & divestiture related activities and projects as assigned.
Accountabilities:
-Assesses market and business opportunities using financial projections, market screening, comparative valuations and comparative strategic value.
-May lead and participates in merger, acquisition & divestiture related due diligence activities.
-Analyzes business operating plans, strategies and forecasts to support valuation decisions.
-Prepares presentations for management.
-Assists in maintaining, developing and administering the company’s corporate policies regarding the review and approval process of capital investments.
-Participates in the company’s longer term planning process with a focus on determining the implications of our intended plans.
-Assesses whether DTE Energy is meeting our goals, impact to future share price, balance sheet implication
Qualifications
-Required: Bachelor's Degree and five years of experience in business and financial analysis including a minimum of 1 year of strategy experience. Demonstrated ability to think strategically across a range of industry competitors.
-Preferred: MBA or professional certification (CPA) preferred.
-Preferred: Previous experience in mergers, acquisitions, and/or divestiture activities.
-Demonstrated analytical, financial analysis, problem solving skills and project management.
-Ability to integrate the external industry environment and DTE business models to facilitate development of business strategies.
-Strong communication and writing skills.
