Job Description
Job Summary:
The Nursing Assistant-Certified assists with basic patient care activities.
Responsibilities:
Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
Compliant with Medicare Conditions of Part. , JCAHO Standard and System/Agency Policies
Follows Nursing Assistant plan of care completed by the RN or physician.
Maintains accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Must have written and verbal communication skills, medical terminology and basic computer skills.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Certified Nurse Aide obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
Work Experience:
- Experience as a nursing assistant preferred.
