Description
Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician
Location: Muskegon, MI
Shift: 6am-6pm
Overview: Responsible for service, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical instrumentation, and electronic control systems on site. The overall objective isto ensure that all motor controls, metering systems and general maintenance of existing electrical and electronic equipment on site, fully support the operating requirements in all areas including safety, quality, productivity, capacity, and reliability in the Main and HVF Plants.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
Maintain or assist in the installation/modification of electrical/electronic control systems by working with process operations, engineering, and vendor personnel.
Maintain documentation of the site electrical/electronic drawings and schematics to ensure the integrity of the system.
Assist in the pre-commissioning and start-up of new equipment/instrumentation.
Provide maintenance personnel with direction when assistance is needed on electrical and/or instrumentation problems.
Perform troubleshooting of electrical/electronic control systems.
Maintain and document the calibration of site instrumentation to ISO 9001-2002 Standard.
Work with and support efforts of the Instrument Control Specialists in the development and implementation of the site PLC control system and DCS control system.
Provide and assist with the maintenance of the plant scales and plant instrumentation systems.
Assist in the training and development of Level I and II Technicians.
Position Requirements
Requirements:
Have a minimum of six (6) years of industrial instrumentation background
Have a Journeyman's Card in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrument Technician or hold an associates degree in either Electrical, Electronic or Instrumentation
Shift: 6am-6pm
Drug screen and background check are mandatory if you are offered this position
