You would be responsible for all tasks related to the procurement process, which includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Procuring components
- Data entry and maintaining of purchase orders
- Corresponding and negotiating pricing and delivery dates with suppliers
- Tracking and monitoring supplier performance against key measurements
- Minimizing excess material exposure and liability
- Balancing the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels
- Submitting Purchase Price Variances (PPV) to the Purchasing Manager
- Negotiating fair market pricing and continuously monitoring
- Expediting and verifying the material pipeline to assure MRP requirements are met
Qualified candidates will be detail oriented with great problem solving skills. Must be well organized and have good communication and MS Office skills. At least 1 year of purchasing/procurement experience required.
