Responsibilities*
Ensure efficient patient flow in examination, consultation and treatment rooms.
Prepare patient infusion visit/procedures by setting up all instruments/supplies; clean infusion chairs between patients.
Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Provide information to patients as directed.
Provide clinical assistance by taking vital signs, drawing blood, preparing specimens and assisting patients.
Stock materials for the unit as needed.
Operate and monitor patient care equipment; set up instruments/supplies in exam and treatment rooms.
May perform some or all the duties of clinic clerical staff.
Delivers medication from pharmacy and various areas for patient care.
Prepare the Infusion Center and other clinical areas for incoming patient.
Helps facilitates patient transport to and from all infusion centers.
Organize the infusion area stock room and nutrition room, and cleans equipment as needed.
May perform some or all the duties of clinic clerical staff.
Required Qualifications*
Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Demonstrated problem solving ability by previous employment references. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Individual applying for this position must be able to walk long distance throughout the hospital daily and frequently. Strong accountability and diversity with multiple roles. Some office experience is necessary.
