Wastewater Operator
SRG Global' s Advanced Development Center in Taylor, MI is searching for a Wastewater Operator who will be responsible for maintaining the wastewater treatment process. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemistry and quickly process information and adapt to change. This person must be well organized, flexible and enjoy the process control challenges of supporting a multi-finish plating operation within a team of diverse people.
Starting pay for this role will be $25 hourly with a $1,000 sign-on bonus
We're hiring on our 3rd shift: 11pm to 7:30amWhat You Will Do In Your Role
Operates and maintains wastewater treatment process and equipment to ensure compliance with State and Federal Environmental Protection Requirements
Monitors and samples water system and adjusts treatment levels where necessary to ensure system stability
Activates pumps, valves, and other processing equipment to move water through various treatment processes
Reads and interprets meters and gauges on central control panel, or at individual machines or stages in the treatment process
Utilize technical equipment such as inductive coupled plasma analysis device or atomic absorption spectrometer
Remove Waste materials from system in line with company procedures and government requirements
Adds chemicals to water system by predetermined formula
Monitors chemical inventory and advises on reorder
Cleans and maintains treatment plant, pumping stations and wells
Follow all safety and PPE guidelines and STOP, THINK, and ASK
Proactive communication with all ADC departments and team members
Collects and logs environmental equipment current operating parameters The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required What Will Put You Ahead
Experience in chemistry and analytical lab processes
Experience operating, maneuvering and/or controlling the actions of equipment, machinery, and tools
Hazardous waste training, or experience working with hazardous waste
