This position will prioritize and coordinate maintenance and operations activities for the Fiberline. Maintain a safe work environment by prioritizing safety work orders, leading safety work notification review meetings, and assuring safety work orders are completed in a timely manner. Maintain an efficient and effective maintenance planning program. Assure that all equipment is maintained using precision work practices.
Key Accountabilities:
To coordinate maintenance and operations activities in the pulp mill, refined mechanical pulp mill, pulp makedown, and woodyard areas.
Responsible for what work gets planned and scheduled to ensure equipment reliability, and when work gets scheduled to ensure process reliability.
Daily review of new work notifications including understanding the scope
Screening for quality and need of work
Assure daily work completed, equipment left in a precision state, and finalize the next work day/week priorities.
Review the work order backlog and keep within manageable limits.
Lead the T-minus process for scheduled outages.
Lead routine annual outage maintenance activities.
Post daily schedule for operators each day to ensure communication of work to be accomplished and that required equipment is shut-down and cleaned up prior to maintenance work starting.
Ensure RCFA action items are prioritized based on the Reliability Red Team recommendations.
Ensure Safety work orders are reviewed and prioritized to improve safety.
Ensure environmental PMs and work orders are executed on time.
Provide feedback to originators if work will not be done or if a work request needs to be written better.
Audit key safety procedures
Manage our budget using the Check Book Process.
Maintain a prioritized list for planning and scheduling of work
Required Skills
High level of interpersonal skills (i.e., honesty, communication, leadership, decision making, conflict resolution, maintaining relationships)
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Understanding of planning and scheduling techniques
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency with the following systems: MWMS system, SAP (work order, requisition writing and management), RCFA tracking system, When Down Do, Microsoft Excel
Ability to work with a cross functional team
Required Experience
Bachelor s degree in pulp paper science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience
2+ years of related paper, operational, or manufacturing/industrial experience
