Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Delegate jobs to area workers as required and keep workers working
- Lead, plan, and prioritize the maintenance department tasks schedule.
- Conduct Daily Scheduling Meeting to meet maintenance and production schedule

- Coordinate the timing of breaks to minimize production downtime
- Directly involved and responsible for performing maintenance tasks
- Understand, repair and monitor electromechanical systems
- Maintain and support all plant equipment & polyurethane dispensers as identified by preventive maintenance schedules.
- Sign off on appropriate documentation as required including maintenance equipment purchase requisitions.
- Train other maintenance workers on processes and work ethic to better the department and Argonics
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Enforce the use of appropriate protective equipment and safety apparatus
- Understand, apply, and enforce all Safety practices
- Monitor and report un-safe conditions
- Ensure all lock out tag out safety measures are being adhered to for electrical, mechanical & pneumatic devices
- Communicate information to and from relevant parties as required
- Report employees negative and positive actions to Supervisor.
- Validate that each worker completes the assigned tasks
- Work closely with other factory Foreman to meet schedule and goals
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding and knowledge of the plant equipment.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on various systems throughout the facility and grounds.
- Participate in the development and implementation of a preventive and predictive maintenance program with a goal of 100% equipment availability during 100% of the scheduled production time.
- Utilize the Argonics Intranet Maintenance Ticket Work Order system and virtual Preventative Maintenance synology office database.
- Identify and order parts, materials, equipment, and tools to accomplish all maintenance activity in support of defined schedules and work tasks.
- Identify and troubleshoot electromechanical processing problems and carry out corrective actions.
- Continuously seek to upgrade and improve the equipment and chemical process by providing regular technical and procedural insight and collaboration to the manager and other technical team members.
- Keep abreast of technical developments and company needs and make recommendation regarding test systems, hardware, software & quality related measures.
- Suggest and help develop improved manufacturing techniques, and process for efficiency gains & energy savings.
- Maintain complete maintenance records and logs in an excel program.
- Learn the company ERP system for requisition entries, labor and material tracking purposes.
- Ensure that the duties identified above are carried out in a proper, safe, timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain the “Order, Organization, Cleanliness” of the work area.
- Maintain accurate paperwork
- Any other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience as a maintenance Foreman / Manager
- Technical associate degree or at least 5 years documented industrial work experience
- Background in technology, science, maintenance or related technical discipline
- Knowledge of control systems and hands on mechanical aptitude
- Must be flexible to adjust work schedule in critical times of need
- Written and verbal communications skills, technical expertise
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Must have a Positive “Can do” Attitude and be Creative
- Take a hands-on approach to solving problems and working in plant environment
- Interact well with others team player with strong multi-tasking skills
- Self-Starting & goal oriented
- Physical ability to perform physical work
- Competence to understand, repair and monitor complex electromechanical polyurethane mixing dispensers
- Entail the skill set to identify and troubleshoot electromechanical processing problems and carry out corrective actions
- Aptitude to create and maintain technical documentation using computer knowhow
- Proficient to multitask, recognize and sequence priorities
- Able to operate an 8,000 pounds capacity forklift
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to wear nose and mouth coverings
