Well established manufacturing company in Dexter is in need of an experienced Accountant. You would assist the Controller in creating timely and accurate financial statements and manage various aspects of accounting processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and budget management.

Essential Duties

• General Ledger accounts reconciliations and auditing.

• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.

• Assist in preparation of the annual budget and monthly updates based on operating results.

• Bank account reconciliation.

• Manage month end close including journal entry preparation.

• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.

• Financial statement analysis: Assist in preparation of profit and loss statements, monthly closing and cost accounting reports, balance sheets and cash flow statements.

• Standard costing and analysis.

• Prepare, analyze and process payroll.

• Manage annual physical inventory process including training, auditing and supervision.

• Manage Fixed Asset inventory and Depreciation using Fixed Asset Accounting software.

• Prepare and complete personal property tax return.

• Prepare and file various required government reporting.

• Prepare all reconciliations and accounting and payroll-related work papers for year-end financial audit.

• Cash flow analysis.

• Accounts receivable-post cash receipts, resolve slow pay issues, and RMA application issues.
• Assist HR with various report preparation.
• Administer credit terms to customers and manage customer collections and cash applications.

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
