The Application Technical Support Specialist supports a group of Engineering and Powertrain applications ensuring stability and driving efficiencies. This individual will work closely with external applications Supplier Partners providing production support and overseeing the day to day operations ensuring SLA's / KPI's are met. The Application Specialist supports software and hardware maintenance and upgrades, monitoring application availability and performs RIC function for SR's. This particular individual will have support responsibility for financial planning, forecasting applications and assisting in software renewals.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 3 years previous IT practical experience working in an embedded software environment supporting tools and process
3 years' experience with various Engineering and Powertrain Applications (Vector, ETAS, dSPACE, IBM Rational ALM, etc.)
3 years previous experience working within team collaborative environment
3 year's of supporting of client server applications and have proficiency in Web technologies
1 year prior experience demonstrating superior verbal and written communication skills
1 year previous work experience working on multiple assignments and tasks independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related Computer Science degree
Analytical, detail oriented and a strategic thinker with ability to grasp business challenges
Minimum 3 years' experience in the use of embedded software tools and processes
Knowledge of Enterprise Performance Management and other tools that could be used for enterprise solutions
Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
Support of client server applications and have proficiency in Web technologies and programming skills
