Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman Electrician and take charge of installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across diverse commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial and industrial settings using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Test electrical circuits using ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functioning.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to support automation and control functions.
- Collaborate on renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues early and perform preventative maintenance.
- Follow all safety protocols in accordance with NEC guidelines, including proper handling of high voltage systems and low voltage wiring.
- Assist in framing carpentry or handyman tasks as needed to support construction or renovation efforts on-site.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction environments.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites, including blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Familiarity with NEC standards for safe electrical installations and troubleshooting procedures.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics.
- Ability to perform electrical testing with ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex circuits efficiently.
