CNC Machinist - Turning (Lathe) | 1st Shift | Direct Hire

The Adecco Permanent Recruitment team is partnering with a precision manufacturing organization seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Turning) to support high-precision machining operations for custom tooling and mold components. This is a great opportunity to join a clean, modern shop focused on tight tolerances and quality-driven production.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC lathes (turning) to produce precision components
Load fixtures, tooling, and programs; perform offsets and probe cycles
Perform efficient changeovers with minimal downtime
Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings ; make basic G-code adjustments as needed
Hold tight tolerances of ±0.0005"
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM
Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, chatter, program errors)
Complete setup sheets, inspection records, and maintenance logs
Determine proper tooling, workholding, and machining processes
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
5+ years of CNC machining experience (turning/lathe preferred)
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Knowledge of tooling, machining techniques, and precision measurement
Experience working to tight tolerances in high-precision environments
Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
High attention to detail and commitment to "quality at the source"
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
