Talascend seeks a Payroll Administrator for a long-term contract position with our client in Wixom, MI.
OVERVIEW:
This role supports the district office by providing general administrative support, interfacing directly with external and internal customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Processing payroll (manual sheets and PeopleSoft), producing Certified Payroll records and processing employee expenses
- Requisitioning for Service, Projects and Indirect Purchasing/Ordering (office supplies, PCs, uniforms, Fleet, Mobile, Smart Phones)
- Administration of material and labor transfers for jobs and contracts
- ProCard redirects and reconciliations
- Ensuring the integrity of branch records for auditing purposes
- Additionally, this role is expected to perform various administrative tasks; scheduling meetings, running reports and filing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of four years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant with client facing and field scheduling duties
- SAP Software experience
- Accounting experience (payroll processing required)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Intermediate experience with Oracle (or other invoice/accounting/scheduling) software in an office environment
- Able to work independently and be dependable.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree (desired)
