Following established procedures, must have ability to prioritize multiple work assignments.
Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints.
Required to be familiar with measuring tools including micrometers, calipers and comparators.
Able to perform basic and complex set-ups on presses.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for operating and setting up progressive punch press machines (presses), performing a variety of operations, setting dies, straighteners, feed, stroke adjustment, greasing leader pins, adjusting safety equipment and working with various customer required specifications. Troubleshoots and assists Maintenance Team regarding machine down situations. Performs preventive maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Makes decisions on which jobs the machines are capable of handling and set up the most difficult jobs from a blueprint or hand drawing.
Assembles, installs and aligns dies in press according to specifications
Troubleshoots and adjusts presses and dies.
Performs checks on jobs for all dimensions and runs it according to the blueprint.
Runs and adjusts machinery in a safe manner.
Performs routine, preventative maintenance on presses.
Demonstrates the ability to maintain quality and speed of standard rates, including certification in basic SPC techniques.
Properly completes all required quality process controls.
Inspects parts for conformance to specifications.
Responsible for problem solving, correcting and or stopping production when defective parts are detected.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager.
Demonstrates the willingness to train others and generally be of assistance to others as needed.

- High School diploma or GED required.
