Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a dynamic and immaculate prototype machine shop
This role involves downloading programs, obtaining tool lists, reading blueprints, and setting up 4 to 6 axis mills
You will be responsible for running the first detail of new parts, ensuring they are within tolerance using hand tools or a CMM, and assisting in the programming and setup process for subsequent details
For repeat programs, you will download software, retrieve tool lists, and manage operations as previously programmed. You will work with a variety of materials including steel, magnesium, aluminum, plastics, and castings
Job Responsibilities
Download and execute CNC programs and obtain necessary tool lists
Read and interpret blueprints for accurate setup and machining
Set up and operate 4 to 6 axis mills, ensuring precision in machining processes
Run first detail for new parts, measure and verify tolerances using hand tools or CMM
Coordinate with the Programmer for programming subsequent details and setup processes
Review CMM reports for first pieces in the Quality lab and adjust as necessary
Complete short-run projects ranging from 1 to 300 parts
Machine a variety of materials including steel, magnesium, aluminum, plastics, and castings
Essential Skills
Experience with CNC 3 axis mills
Proficient in reading blueprints
Ability to interpret CMM reports and make necessary adjustments
Familiarity with quality instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
2+ years experience with Haas or Fanuc controllers

This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
