- Develop, maintain, and adjust nursing and ancillary schedules, payroll, reports, billing, gross pays, PTO accruals and personnel paperwork.
- Review expenditures for materials, equipment, and travel.
- Coordinate the use of facilities, services and equipment.
- Coordinate the handling of routine personnel actions.
- Assist in the resolution of operating problems and employee complaints.
- Maintain personnel records and blue folders.
- Process transactions to account for changes in appointments, salaries, titles, etc.
- Provide a variety of support services to Nursing Director, Nurse Managers, and medical/clinical/clerical staff in a fast paced customer friendly environment.
- Participate with health team members for problem solving in area management.
- Candidate must be highly motivated to provide excellent customer service, is detailed orientated, great follow up skills, and can meet tight deadlines consistently.
- Exhibit exemplary customer relation skills in interacting with various management levels and department staff. Must be able to effectively work both independent and as a team member.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Must be cheerful and energetic/ assertive and highly motivated with a positive and professional attitude
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Considerable experience in performing responsible office duties or an equivalent.

- Recent administrative support experience within the OR and/or PACU
- Two to three years experience with OneStaff, Microsoft Windows and Excel preferred
- Prefer 1-3 years experience in the hospital clinical setting
- Ideal candidate will have an excellent attendance record
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Knowledge of the UMPNC bargaining agreement
- Reasonable knowledge of the University of Michigan Health System policies.
Hours: 40 hours Monday through Friday
