Sr. Interior Cockpit Engineer
What You Will Do:
Design and develop Interior Cockpit parts and perform releasing duties for North American-based vehicle projects
Develop innovative solutions to improve from cost/mass, performance, and quality perspectives
Develop engineering concepts and see parts through to mass production
Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results
Recommend engineering improvements by assessing current designs and competitor benchmarking
Use previous experience to help mentor and develop fellow engineers within the group
Be responsible for generating and completing Advanced Development projects related to part or system-level improvements for future vehicles
Travel up to 15% of the time, both domestically and internationally
What You Will Bring to the Role:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline
5+ years of experience is required
5+ years of working knowledge of Interior Cockpit components (e.g., instrument panel, center console, etc.)
Familiar with the best practices and processes for cradle-to-grave product development
Knowledge of US regulations
Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly of Interior Cockpit components
Experience utilizing computer-aided design tools
Capability in CATIA V5 is ideal, but not required
Valid Driver's License & a satisfactory driving record
