Strategic & Organizational Development
· Support the design and implementation of job level structures and career pathing frameworks across departments.
· Collaborate with leadership on the development of Powell University, an internal training initiative designed to strengthen all departments through skill-building, onboarding efficiency, and the creation of a formal apprenticeship program.
· Provide guidance and project management support as the organization transitions to include FMLA coverage in the coming months.
· Contribute to future organizational planning and HR systems that support Powell’s next growth milestones.
Human Resource Operations
· Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes to ensure a seamless candidate and new-hire experience.
· Oversee benefits administration, including employee inquiries, enrollment changes, and vendor coordination; partner with accounting on benefits-related invoicing and payroll adjustments.
· Serve as payroll backup, ensuring accuracy in processing and data integrity.
· Maintain HRIS records, job descriptions, and personnel files in compliance with legal and company standards.
· Serve as a trusted resource for employees, fostering a positive and transparent workplace culture.
Safety & Compliance
· Provide oversight and leadership for Powell’s Safety Committee, coordinating monthly safety meetings and training sessions.
· Ensure compliance with MIOSHA and other workplace safety regulations.
· Investigate incidents, track corrective actions, and maintain safety documentation.
· Partner with supervisors to reinforce a culture of safety and accountability.
Employee Relations & Development
· Support managers with coaching, performance reviews, and employee relations issues.
· Facilitate professional development and leadership training opportunities.
· Promote engagement initiatives that align with Powell’s values and “Humble Confidence” culture.
Other Duties
· Champion cross-functional initiatives that result in increased efficiency and operational excellence.
· Provide travel coordination and VISA support when needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
