The physical therapist will accurately assess,
differentially diagnosis, and identify deficits in a patient's ability to move
and perform functional activities in their daily lives. They develop an individualized treatment plan
with patient-centered goals to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent
disability and work with the individual to prevent the loss of mobility.
Key Responsibilities Include
:
Performs patient evaluations through the processof obtaining history, performing relevant systems review, and selecting andadministering specific tests and measures to obtain data.
Establishes an individualized plan of care andselects treatment techniques that addresses the specific impairments identifiedin the evaluation and in accordance with physician orders.
Conducts ongoing reassessment of the patient andtheir response to treatment.
Initiates and manages the discharge planbeginning at the first visit and continuing throughout treatment.
Supervises and delegates to ancillary staff andstudents consistent with state laws and department policy.
Required:
Preferred:
- One year of physical therapist experience.
