REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THIS ROLE
MUST HAVES
Minimum 3 years' experience in Machining
Proficiency in operating manuals and CNC machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
WE VALUE:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in CNC programming (M-code & G-code)
Proficiency in the use of precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, bore gages, CMM, and other measuring equipment
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
General computer skills
Understanding of geometric terms, concepts, principles, and rules used in the measurement and manufacturing of parts
Understanding and the ability to calculate tolerances and dimensions
Troubleshooting and solving tooling problems with minimal assistance
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate various machines with minimal supervision
Share knowledge with other employees to improve production, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve safe work practices
Daily maintenance (as required) of equipment and machines in the machine shop
Deburr, clean, and inspect parts
Collaborate with others in a team environment
Complete part salvage work, as assigned
UNION CONTRACT REFERENCES: TRAINEES:
The 2023-2028 union contract allows for Machinist trainee roles to be posted at management's discretion. The must-haves will be waived for roles designated for trainees, as the company will provide training and learning to build the employees' capabilities in machining.
