Description:
Distributes menus and assists patients in completing menus in a professional manner. Communicates appropriate patient nutritional information to the Dietitian. Accurately edits menus and processes food production sheets. Monitors tray line to ensure accuracy of patient orders on trays. Promotes the continuous assessment and improvement in the quality of dietary services according to normative standards of excellence and practice. Functions as a team leader as necessary. Answers telephone appropriately and communicates information correctly. Keeps supervisors and employees informed about issues important to them. Obtain and maintain competency in accessing and documenting patient information in the automated patient medical record as defined by departmental policies. Completes other duties as assigned and relevant to position responsibilities. Professionally addresses others with a smile, handshake, eye contact, voice, posture, grammar, grooming and dress. Graduate of accredited high school. One year prior employment experience in food service preferred. Ability to interact with a variety of individuals including employees and patients.
