POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Systems Manager works closely with the plant Quality Leaders and “Global Strength” functions to establish and improve robust quality systems which compliment business objectives. This position is involved with development and refinement of global quality systems, reports and initiatives. The position is also a supporting resource to resolve key quality issues and provides key program launch support as required, or where there is a gap in plant or “Global Strength” resources. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Develop and improve standardization and implementation of common BorgWarner Quality Systems (as defined by BWQS and other initiatives) together with warranty processes in manufacturing locations in accordance with customer and internal requirements. - Work with locations to identify specific gaps and resulting corrective actions as defined by the BWQS and other BU initiatives. - Provide support and representation to locations with quality issue resolutions for customers. - Manage centralized warranty administration. - Support the regular reporting of quality metrics and alerts as required. - Provide FMEA training and facilitation as defined by programs or business needs. - Participate in a teamwork approach to implement business unit strategies with plant and global support leaders. - Provide technical leadership, training, and support to manufacturing teams, suppliers, and peers.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality or related area • Minimum of 5 years experience in the quality function with at least 3 years in an automotive component plant environment. • Experience in the automotive industry, preferably with Tier 1 suppliers or OEM's • Proficient knowledge of Quality Management Systems • Experience with 8D processes, automotive problem solving and corrective action methodologies • Familiarity with multiple customer quality systems • Knowledge of APQP / PPAP • Knowledge and Experience with TS 16949 and, preferably in addition VDA and other global quality assessment tools • Flexibility, creativity and the ability to lead with strong influencing skills • Experience in team building and leading teams • Willing to travel domestically and internationally 25 to 50% of the time as required. • Fluent in English
