General Summary:
Coordinate materials, personnel, and production to ensure on time, accurate, and complete shipments with zero defects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with Woven Customer Service to determine daily/weekly order priorities including:
a. Picking and prepping raw materials for shipping to vendor facility and to the powder coat line.
b. Receiving in material from vendors for quality and accuracy.
2. Keep inventory of raw and finished materials organized and clearly labeled. Notify management of shortages immediately.
3. Coordinate with management as needed for organization of daily/weekly priorities or resolution of production, quality or customer service issues.
4. Ensure timely and accurate shipping of daily sample requests, a critical component of our customer service response.
5. Provide updates on in-progress materials to customer service.
6. Operate plant equipment as needed to process orders and move materials including: resistance welder, metal shear and for truck.
7. Responsible for placing material returned from finishing into inventory in a timely manner and recording the inventory changes.
8. Assisting with loading the loom with the Weaver as needed.
9. Facilitate training initiatives.
10. Cross-train other employees in department to be able to perform these duties as necessary.
11. Responsible for reading and implementing Quality Processes and procedures.
12. Responsible for housekeeping of all woven production and shipping areas. Please reference Woven Housekeeping Document for all details.
13. Offer suggestions and new idea for process, service and quality improvements.
14. Take on other essential tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills both inside the organization and vendors.
2. Previous experience with production and inventory management, and as a team lead.
3. Experience with and ability to utilize computer systems and Office 365 products including Outlook, Excel and Word.
4. Ability to coordinate several tasks at one time.
Working Conditions:
1. Factory exposure where some physical discomfort and exposure to hazards due to temperature, dust and noise.
