Our client in Roseville, MI is seeking an experienced 1st shift CNC Gun Drill Operator . This position would start as a contract role with the opportunity for direct hire after 6 months. This is not a temp position, they are seeking a candidate with a good work history and someone that seeks longevity in their next position.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating machines: Set up and operate IMSA and Tarus CNC Gun drill machines to drill, bore, ream, mill, or countersink alum. or steel workpieces.
- CAM Programming: Create machining programs using VISI and provide data to create quality products.
- Reading blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand task specifications and desired results
- Measuring parts: Accurately measure parts using precision measuring instruments and gages
- Maintaining machinery: Calibrate and maintain the machinery and other tools
- Programming: Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
- Communicating: Communicate with other co-workers about job status and schedules
- Replacing tools: Replace worn or damaged tools
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Fanuc and Heidenheim control systems.
- Ability to set up parts in the machine.
- Ability to read prints.
- Promptness and good attendance.
Benefits:
- Pay rate is up to $28 per hour based on experience
