Under general supervision and according to
established policies and procedures, operates x-ray equipment to perform
mammograms; develops film and completes paperwork.
Responsibilities:
Assists in breast biopsy proceduresto include needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and ductograms.
Instructs and positions patients to obtainacceptable radiographs of diagnostic quality.
Ensures work area meets appropriate standards ofsafety, equipment supply and cleanliness levels.
Manually enters data ensuring proper preparationfor dictation and billing.
ARRT, RT(M), or equivalent formal
training as accepted under the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
