Hanes Geo Components (HGC) in Livonia, MI, a division of Leggett & Platt Inc., is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR). HGC is the leading distributor of geosynthetics, erosion control, and soil stabilization products used in the construction industry. Primary responsibilities are:
- Contact existing customers to:
- Inquire about current and future projects that utilize HGC products and work with sales to submit quotes
- Solicit orders to ensure that our delivery trucks are fully utilized
- Maintain and/or grow HGC brand awareness
- Accurately enter customer orders that are received on the telephone or electronically
- Greet and assist customers who walk-in for orders as needed
- Assist in the warehouse as needed using motorized equipment to load customer orders or to help unload inventory
- Communicate with customers regarding any challenges to their order such as logistics, inventory adjustments etc.
- Provide professional administrative support to the sales staff
- Coordinate logistics when customer orders are shipped direct from vendors
- Maintain and distribute product literature
This person must be focused on providing exceptional customer service, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task, be proficient and accurate with data entry, competent math skills (i.e. converting square feet to square yards) and have forklift/motorized equipment experience. An Associates Degree in business, marketing, etc. is preferred. Competitive hourly pay rate and benefits offered: health/dental/vision insurance, 401-k plan, and discounted stock program.
