Provides timely, accurate, and accessible electronic clinical patient information charting by prepping andscanning medical records using the DCS/ QCI application through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Performs duties related to the receipt, preparation, scanning, and destruction of health and administrativeinformation.
Scans documents into the EMR system in a timely manner to ensure that information becomes available forpatient care.
Performs quality control to ensure the integrity and completeness of document imaging.
Assists with answering phones and greeting visitors.
Inspects equipment, structures, and materials to identify the cause of errors, problems, or defects.
Interviews patients and reviews medical records to obtain required information. Prepares legal and
complimentary birth certificates, and notarizes required documents.
Assists with coordinating workflow as needed.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
6 months in an office setting
1 year healthcare experience (preferred)
