Description
In conjunction with the hospital management team, Human Resources, and Infection Control Committee, this individual develops and coordinates the Colleague Health Program. This individual works with the infection prevention practitioner on policy and procedure development and revision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs pre-employment screenings and ensures all OSHA/MIOSHA required lab tests, immunizations, and TB precautions are complete on new hires.
Provides evaluation, coordination, and follow-up for all work related illnesses and injuries. Provides case management.
Administers vaccines and health surveillance programs.
Provides health and safety education and training in both formal and informal settings. Teaches, councils, and refers employees to promote wellness.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
3 years of experience as a RN.
BLS certification required. Certification must be issued directly by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Clinical or Occupational Health background.
