Supports Student Learning
• Assists students with the development of academic success and technological skills
• Provides students with information on Student Success Center guidelines and policies for computer usage and enforces these policies
• Checks out and maintains equipment and supplies
• Develops and implements e-mentoring and social media strategies to maintain positive relationships and effective communication with students.
• Assists students in solving problems through discussion. Provides referral to appropriate College staff, to a counselor, to an advisor, or to an outside agency, as appropriate
Center Team Responsibilities
• Provides customer service by receiving calls and greeting students with a friendly welcome, information, and direction
• Maintains a clean, orderly environment for the students using the Center
• Answer multi-line telephones
• Create, update and maintain files as delegated by the Coordinator
• Copy, scan, e-mail, and file documents
• Respond to requests for information, exercising discretion in obtaining and providing factual and confidential information related to office and College operations
• Type correspondence and other documents in Microsoft Word or Google Docs®
• Spreadsheet creation and data entry in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets®
• Perform data entry and run reports as needed
• May be cross-trained to proctor exams for the Testing Center
• Completes projects assigned by Coordinator and/or Director

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual will have computer skills, including knowledge of and the ability to use the Internet, email, scheduling software, video communication platforms, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
