Description
Knowledge in Robot Welders with the ability to program and troubleshoot.
Knowledge of Mig/Tig Welding, brazing, grinding, tube benders, and fabrication equipment, with the ability to operate or learn to operate.
SUMMARY
The Engineering Technician is responsible for programming, training, fixture evaluation, and process quality of the value stream. In addition, they will support the day to day needs of the department through the Management Development System.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop schedules and strive for continuous improvement of quality through process controls.
Ensure cycle times meet costed targets.
Ensure quality of the parts coming off value stream meet our quality standards
Train operators on proper operation and upkeep of the equipment and area
Contribute to the creation of work instructions for various production and testing processes.
Work with Tooling Designers and Technicians to ensure tooling and fixtures are maintained and meet the expectations required to meet quality and production demands.
Participate, train, and complete preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement and lean activities.
Ability to operate all essential equipment.
Support operation teammates to develop a culture of continuous improvement by leading the system to capture and execute improvement projects through implementation of process controls.
Perform root cause analysis to determine the source of nonconformances and support the operation teams and associates on implementations of corrective action.
Works safely and follows all safety rules and regulations.
Keeps area neat, clean, and organized according to company's 5s standards.
Supports daily business operations by remaining flexible to the changing needs of the business
Is instrumental in supporting the Management Development System (MDS) and the needs of the department highlighted through this process
Position Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate degree or other technical certification preferred.
Minimum of three years related experience and/or training.
Blueprint reading experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, and complex documents.
Self-directed, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
Proficient in English, Spanish speaking abilities is a plus.
Ability to use and apply basic mathematical functions to solve problems and analyze data. Ability to develop and interpret graphs and charts.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and solutions.
Ability to navigate and comprehend an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
Position requires constant exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts. Frequent exposure to high noise levels. Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles.
Flexibility to provide back up to other positions during peak production times.
Ability to be flexible for customer demands.Hours are typically5 AM - 3:30 PMand may vary each week with overtime.
