Materials Supervisor
Coordinate material control systems, inbound/outbound shipments, and materials handling activities, and inventory control primarily from the shop floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all material handler activities.
- Coordinate activities for warehouse layout.
- Training, coaching, developing the material handling team.
- Implement and assist in the development of a cycle counting and pull system for each commodity.
- Manage/coordinate the receiving and DMR processes.
- Manage the input of incoming receipts on a regular timely basis.
- Manage the process of outbound shipments.
- Coordinate all customs compliance requirements.
- Observes Materials/Production operation within their area of control to ascertain
- Compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, 5’s, and Production/Materials Standards.
- Efficient operation of equipment: takes corrective action to eliminate any deviation.
- Assist in maintaining and revising visual inventory benchmarks standards.
- Daily coordination of Production builds schedules.
- Daily floor walks
- Liaison between Materials and Productions
- Coordinate any outside warehouse activities.
- Run RPS history reports and cumulative reports verifying receipts have been collected in the RPS file.
- Manage the process of supplier cum reconciliation.
- Monitor system for accurately tracking Truckload Utilization. (TUMS)
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process, and quality system.
- Manage and maintain onsite replenishment of Trailers (Shelve)
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
- Initiate, recommend, and provide solutions through designated channels.
- Verify the implementations of solutions.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Actively participates in Health/Safety/Environmental investigations and the 8D process in order to develop root cause analysis for problem resolution as required.
- Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets, or the public.
- Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and ensures safe working procedures in assigned material areas.

Education and Experience:
Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience … a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Two years supervision or materials experience in a JIT manufacturing environment. Knowledge of MFG Pro or equivalent.
Familiar with the MRP process.
Computer experience to include spreadsheet and word processing.
Able to obtain forklift and commercial driver’s license.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, and procedure manuals. The candidate has the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The candidate has the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
The candidate has the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs. The candidate has the ability to create visual aids for communication purposes.
Duties also include assisting in the day-to-day management of the Environmental Management System. Following all environmental work instructions and/or cleaning up spills or other duties required of the Environmental 1st Response Team.
