Job Summary
Lambert is currently seeking a full-time Manager with 4-6 years of experience in public relations to assist with integrated communications initiatives supporting the firm's education, municipal and nonprofit clients, with a heavy focus on media relations and crisis management. This role will be based in our Detroit office. The Manager will lead account teams on day-to-day activities for our diverse client-base, support strategic planning, manage content development and assist with new business generation.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Managing a portfolio of clients
Providing strategic counsel to clients to aid their integrated communications campaigns
Building relationships with existing and new clients
Building relationships with key media contacts
Dealing with the media, speaking to journalists and other members of the press
Working with the team to build relationships with public officials, government agencies and community groups
Providing innovative and creative ideas to clients
Briefing clients and updating them on press campaigns
Analyzing coverage and providing written reports
On-site event support
Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders
Daily point of contact with key media contacts
Developing industry, sector and product focused PR campaigns
Managing the needs of the client and their accounts
Contributing to daily meetings, and liaising and updating clients on activities
Keeping abreast of current integrated communications trends and tools
Spearheading both traditional earned and social media projects
Fulfilling the client's key performance indicators and growing accounts
Being involved in pitching for new business and developing proposals
Managing and mentoring junior members of staff
