The Compensation Analyst is responsible for the administration and maintenance of organizational compensation programs, and making wage recommendations in alignment with organizational philosophy. This includes management of HRIS data, incentives, bonus', updating electronic tools and communication materials, and managing annual merit pay/market adjustment process. This role communicates, collaborates, and networks with all levels of employees and leadership and takes a lead role in ensuring the integrity and quality of all compensation projects.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Serves as a project leader - assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating compensation projects that align with our culture, values, philosophy and pay equity. Monitors and makes recommendations for change as necessary
Participate and complete HR related surveys as required and researches special compensation programs or incentive systems to support organizational objectives.
Creates, updates and manages job descriptions, performs position analysis, and ensures the proper internal salary grade placements for new and revised positions based on levels of responsibility and market data. Maintains and updates documents and accessibility on internal systems and SharePoint. Reviews and analyzes compensation data in the HRIS system to identify and collaborate with others for updates and needed resolution.
Coordinates the annual merit and market adjustment process including education, communications, timeline, system administration, reporting and follow-up.
Functions as an internal compensation consultant, analyzing and interpreting data gathered from various sources to support projects, compliance, and leadership inquiries. Educates at all levels on key compensation issues, ensuring consistency with trends in compensation philosophy and practices, making recommendations based on industry and company knowledge.
Collaborate with recruitment and leadership to understand and manage market issues with respect to hiring and retaining employees.
Collaborates on the preparation and distribution of Total Compensation statements, Executive Compensation summaries, Gain Sharing payouts, Form 990 compilations, Employee Change Form (ECF) oversight, and HRIS and software tools administration. This includes linking compensation to performance scores, mid-year performance conversations, and disciplinary action logs.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency standards and guidelines including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action (AA), and the Department of Labor (DOL), FLSA, etc.
Prepare, create, and analyze reports/metrics that are necessary to carry out the functions of the role, including nuances across our network. Prepares periodic reports ss necessary or requested including those for wage and salary re-evaluation and internal equity verification.
Steer the organization's culture through effective communications, employee engagement, change management, and teamwork initiatives throughout the MFB system. Work with leadership, provide education and training. Conveys passion and rallies team members when challenged. Keep focused and on track and resolve issues that may jeopardize team success. Prompts others to contribute knowledge and information to assist the team.
Provide assistance in other areas of Human Resources, provide backup assistance for specialized functions, and other duties as assigned or when necessary to maintain efficient operations of the department and MFB.

Essential Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Education, and Training Requirements)
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field, 2-4 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst, systems experience (preferably in healthcare arena), experience in an HR concentration such as HR Generalist, Compensation or comparable background. Certified Compensation Specialist (CCP) a plus
Skill in judgement and decision making to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Deductive reasoning (apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense) and inductive reasoning to combine pieces of (often unrelated) information to form general rules or conclusions. Able to make quality independent decisions.

Strong Microsoft office skills and experience with HRIS systems
