The Human Resource Leader, is a key contributor and business partner in creating and implementing a domestic and international strategic vision to lead, direct, and develop the policies, activities and staff of the Human Resource department. As a member of the Management Team, reporting directly to the President, the Human Resource Leader also is indirectly responsible for all company employees achieving the organization's goals within the framework of the company's core values and culture. The Human Resource Leader will ensure legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.

In conjunction with the Management Team, sets the strategic overall vision and direction for the HR function at SoundOff.
Oversees the daily workflow of the Human Resource department and manages expenses within the budget.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations with the expectation that employees feel that they receive fair/honest feedback.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to the Human Resource function.
Expectation is that this position balances management's point of view with being an employee advocate.
Work closely with management and employees to provide consultation and guidance to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Promote ethical and cultural awareness across the workforce to build an inclusive workforce where every individual is valued and the company complies with all applicable laws.
Provides overall leadership and direction in all human resource related areas (compliance, payroll, benefits, compensation, work comp/safety, talent acquisition and retention, training, employee development and employee relations).
Identifies and improves the key metrics for the Human Resource department.
Analysis of organizational trends, reviews reports and metrics from the organization's HRIS.
Compares organizational trends with market trends.

Provides support and guidance to HR/Employment generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise, working toward resolution before they become conflicts.
The HR department must always be viewed as approachable by the employees and a empathetic ear while maintaining proper levels of dedication to company values/culture/policies.
Maintain a highly engaging culture that motivates employees, fosters an environment with high levels of teamwork, trust, entrepreneurship, customer service and excellence.
Works with the Board's HR committee to set and achieve its vision in compensation and benefits.
Collaborates with senior managers to develop and execute best practices in development programs and initiatives to provide as many internal development opportunities for employees as possible.
Lead the initiatives regarding succession planning and performance management.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
Key driver in benefit identification including vendor selection, costing, programming.
Responsible for companywide employee communication with the expectation that employees feel fully informed on general business matters.
Participate in strategic planning for the organization.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
At least 10 years of Human Resource Management experience required including 5 years at the Sr. Manager/Director level.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred.
