General Summary:
Transport patients safely, timely, and efficiently throughout the hospital.
Essential Duties:
The following descriptions of job responsibilities and standards is intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job but is not intended to describe minor duties or other responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Informs supervisor/dispatcher of all delays within 10 minutes from nursing unit.
Maintains complete confidentiality of all hospital patients.
Maintains transport equipment in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Returns all equipment to the appropriate location.
Maintains and completes all departmental records. Check all patients ID bands prior to transportation from all units.
Attends work on schedule and adheres to hospital time and attendance policy.
Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures.
Standard Qualifications:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent
Experience: Prior transport experience preferred but not necessary
Licensure: Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
