Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The RN Hospital utilizes the nursing process and the standards of nursing care in the delivery of patient care and manages assigned personnel and promotes collaboration among the allied services.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licenses/Certifications: Must be licensed as a REGISTERED NURSE in the State of Michigan Current CPR Certification and Maintain Certification ACU: Current ACLS certification Assignment to Oncology must successfully complete Chemotherapy certification after 12 months experience administering chemotherapy and maintain certification thereafter ED: Current ACLS certification Must successfully complete PALS within 1 year of hire or transfer and maintain certification thereafter. Must successfully complete triage course and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) when assigned by manager Medical/Surgical: Must successfully complete the BCA* course within 6 months of hire or transfer and maintain proof of competency thereafter OB/Labor-Delivery/Nursery: Must successfully complete Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) course when assigned by manager and maintain proof of certification thereafter Surgical Services: Must successfully complete the BCA* course within 6 months of hire or transfer and maintain proof of competency thereafter PACU: Current ACLS certification Must successfully complete PALS within 1 year of hire or transfer and maintain certification thereafter SCU: Current ACLS certification *Those with current ACLS Certification are not required to complete a BCA Course Tier 1 Float Pool: Current ACLS certification Must successfully complete PALS within 1 year of hire or transfer and maintain certification thereafter Must successfully complete triage course and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) when assigned by manager Experience: *All experience noted must be as an RN ACU: One year of hospital based experience in the past five years. ED: One year experience in an emergency department within the past five years. Medical/Surgical: Graduate Nurses are eligible. Must become licensed within 90 Days of employment. OB/Labor-Delivery/Nursery: One year experience in an OB department within the past five years. Surgical Services: One year experience in the OR within the past five years. PACU: One year PACU, ED or SCU experience or two years of hospital based experience within the past five years. SCU: One year hospital based experience in the last five years. Tier 1 Float Pool: 3 years of hospital experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
