Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following departmental protocols to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment. Prepares specimens for testing, screens patient specimens, and analyzes patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs quality control procedures, and assists in maintaining an efficient and effective laboratory operation. May serve as a generalist or as a limited specialist.
Basic Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in in related field
Licenses -
Medical Technologist, Certified from ASCP (MT) All Spectrum Health labs except for the Toxicology department Upon Hire Or
American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) All Spectrum Health labs except for the Toxicology department Upon Hire
Medical Technologist, Certified from ASCP (MT) Toxicology department only Upon Hire Or
American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) Toxicology department only Upon Hire Or
Toxicologist, Certified from American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Toxicology department only Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience - 1 year of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in a related field
