Primary Function:
Will work in all areas of the mill to fill in when people are off or moved up for training. Will also perform any clean-up or other duties as assigned by the Supervisors.
Basic Requirements:
Must know and observe all plant safety rules. Maintain proper housekeeping in assigned areas. Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Must be able to perform this job safely. Understand your surroundings and the potential dangers within your work areas.
Familiar with all pertinent lock out procedures.
Demonstrate the ability to safely operate a fork truck, Squeeze truck and Bobcat. A valid driver's license is required.
Will be fully trained as Production Loader, Filler Driver, Lab Tester, and Liner Driver.
Familiar with duties required during normal wash-ups, i.e.- fire watch rounds, general clean up, screen inspections, clothing changes, etc.
Write and revise a Visual Work Instruction (VWI) in their respective area.
Be able to perform the essential physical requirements necessary for this position.
Responsible for housekeeping.
The above duties are applicable for the continuous operation of the Mill organization. The operator must remain on the job until the end of the shift and be relieved by the incoming position that you are assigned to.
Sometimes the Production employee will have to work overtime. As with all positions at the plant, overtime is mandatory and regular and predictable attendance is an essential factor.
