The HR Specialist is responsible for the talent acquisition function, through the utilization of sourcing techniques to attract the highest quality candidates and to build a viable candidate pool. This role will update and publish open position postings, pre-screen resumes, screen candidates, and assist with hiring decisions while following established procedures. The HR Specialist will handle the onboarding process and new hire orientation.
Review, verify and process job requisitions, to include updating job positing information and sourcing mediums. Create and maintain applicant pipelines through various networking sources.
Perform initial candidate screenings by assessing KSAs, experience clarification, and provide recommendations to assist the hiring managers. Coordinate, schedule, and follow-up on interview outcomes. Confirm wage parameters and extend all offers of employment including internal transfers.
Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and maintain ongoing relationships with future potential prospects, including advising on updates, next steps, and acting as the liaison between hiring managers and candidate.
Perform candidate hiring and onboarding processes, including conducting preemployment reference checks and screening follow-ups, transfers, promotional letters, and not selected candidate communications. Maintain, enhance, and conduct new hire orientations.
Network with local Universities and Colleges to develop a pipeline of new talent, by participating in job fairs and administering the agencys internship program.

Candidate Requirements: Minimum Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a combination of degree and experience. HR Certification preferred.
Candidates with Experience: 3-5 years experience in recruiting, networking, onboarding, utilization of social media and HRIS platforms.
Strong recruiting & networking acumen, including outstanding organizational, time management, interpersonal and excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
Able to effectively utilize various social medial platforms and other techniques to cultivate and source quality candidates.
Must have the ability to work independently and in a group like setting, all while being results driven.
MS Office Intermediate.
