Description
The Senior IT Risk Management Professional identifies, analyzes, monitors and minimizes areas of risk that pertain to information technology. The Senior IT Risk Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior IT Risk Management Professional coordinates risk assessment and performs detained analysis on the results. This process integrates risk management into the SDLC. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Knows the SDLC (Agile & waterfall) phases, governance process, expected artifacts, key activities, etc.
Must have strong experience in Project and Program management and the various aspects covering Scope, Estimates, Cost, Quality, Stakeholder and Schedule etc
Must have analytical abilities to distinguish the gaps in the standard processes
Must be a team player who can collaborate with teams to receive, manipulate and analyze the information to produce the assessment results
Has good, critical judgment on best practices for program deliveries
Can lead discussions with senior leadership, gaining consensus between Business and IT, sometimes needing to challenge the program teams answers if they don't seem complete or transparent
Can speak with authority to gain trust of program teams during these discussions, and to defend the findings
Great writing skills to summarize all the questionnaire and interview data into a concise report
Decent with Excel and PPT to update the assessment templates when you need to make changes
Experience conducting risk assessments relating to project/program management and technology
Understanding of compliance programs including risk identification, assessment, mitigation approaches, controls assessments and how to create a mitigation or action plan
Need to understand risk, how to recognize it, how to uncover it and how to articulate it so teams can remediate it
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of technical experience
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Traditional auditing and data analysis experience
Technical documentation abilities
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office tools
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field
Six sigma certification
Project coordination or management experience
Metrics and report development experience
