Summary:
Facebook is seeking a scientist with a background in experimental design and causal inference to join the Core Data Science team. Individuals in this part-time role will assist product teams with the design and analysis of complex experiments under causal inference.
Required Skills:
Quickly learn existing data science tools and methodologies for experimentation under interference
Answer questions and provide guidance to product teams around experiment setup and analysis
Communicate and document instructions for product teams that resolve common issues
Help maintain infrastructure and tools supporting cluster-randomized experimental designs including production and evaluation of clusterings
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Statistics, Economics, or related fields
Research expertise in causal inference and experimental design
Practical experience with industry A/B testing
Demonstrated communication skills
Proficient in Python and R
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
