The IT Asset and Service Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficacy of technical asset inventory - both hardware and software, while developing departmental procedures for inventory management. This includes management of asset life cycle - acquisition, warranty tracking, refresh planning, and retirement/disposal. This position also includes responsibility for IT service desk ticketing lifecycle, and the development of process and automations to maximize service delivery. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and maintain IT inventory management procedures/controls * Catalog and maintain inventory of physical hardware assets * Catalog and maintain inventory of software assets * Catalog and maintain inventory of general IT tools and supplies * Develop procedures for maintaining technology inventories and monitor compliance * Manage lifecycle of physical hardware * Research/recommend new models/upgrades of technical assets * Acquisition/purchasing of technical assets * Manage the refresh cycle of technical assets * Coordinate asset deployment tasks * Ensure proper disposal of retired assets (including data recovery/erasure, recycle/disposal, and resale where applicable) * Establish and maintain positive and effective vendor relationships * Manage and maintain IT service desk ticketing software and associated procedures * Work with vendor and IT support team to establish service templates and automations to maximize efficiencies * Work with vendor and IT support team to create support portal(s) to improve usability and customer access * Work with IT leadership to develop effective Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for IT service delivery * Deliver timely reporting to IT leadership of service desk performance and effectiveness * Work with IT and hospital leadership to provide project-based support for technology planning * Identify and define hardware and software needs for hospital project planning * Work with administrators on the IT Operations team to identify and define infrastructure needs for hospital project planning * Ensure project compliance with existing hospital technology standards ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS) * High School Diploma or equivalent related field experience . * An Associates Degree preferred or equivalent background and work experience in the computer field. * At least 3 years of experience within an enterprise-scale IT service desk environment. * Extensive knowledge of diverse desktop hardware - including but limited to laptops, desktops, displays, printers, scanners. * Physical Demands - Able to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time); to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 35 pounds occasionally; to sit for the majority (1/3 - 2/3) of the time, but may involve brief periods of time involving walking or standing; to use keyboard frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time).
